Training 101 is an interactive course designed for instructors and potential instructors who have lots of subject matter knowledge but no training in effective teaching methods for the adult learner. The course uses the eight steps of the Effective Instructional Development System (EIDS) to:

  • Explore the differences between adult and child learners.

  • Help instructors understand why teaching the way they were taught won't work with most adults.

  • Identify and meet the needs of left and right brain hemisphere learners.

  • Identify and manage students with the best known learning styles.

  • Use effective teaching methods to reinforce subject matter delivery.
